Job Overview

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all processes align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specific maintenance processes to meet the facility's operational goals.
  • Participate actively in daily meetings to set direction and manage the execution of maintenance plans.
  • Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Systems, focusing on planning and scheduling for optimal performance.
  • Lead the Breakdown Elimination Management System to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Direct initiatives related to defect management systems and tools.
  • Support the creation and execution of 90-day plans aimed at loss reduction.
  • Provide guidance and insights to team leaders and members during planning meetings.
  • Assist in developing Root Cause Analysis capabilities to address recurring operational issues.
  • Drive improvements in both planned and unplanned downtime metrics, emphasizing cost reduction and maintenance efficiency.
  • Enhance the skills of line operators by serving as a technical resource and mentor.
  • Design and maintain systems for data collection and analysis to identify equipment performance issues.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Work to eliminate or mitigate identified losses through process enhancements.
  • Engage in daily direction-setting processes, reporting on results and resource needs.
  • Utilize Reliability Engineering tools to optimize performance and minimize losses.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across teams and facilities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to planned maintenance activities as required.
  • Provide consistent on-the-floor coaching to support operator development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of progressive maintenance experience in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Competent in basic arithmetic and able to interpret data effectively.
  • Reasoning Ability: Capable of solving practical problems and interpreting various forms of instructions.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Other Skills: Strong leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and mobilize resources effectively.
