Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Supervisor at UniFirst, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all facility equipment and identifying areas for process improvement. This includes:

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and determining corrective action
  • Inspecting, operating, and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Performing basic welding activities to effect repairs on facilities and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems
  • Performing and assigning all preventive maintenance on facility and production assets
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel
  • Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Hand & Power tools
  • Lockout/Tagout experience
