About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our facility equipment and identifying areas for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, inspect and operate machinery, and perform basic welding activities to effect repairs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement schedules for preventive maintenance, including repairs and replacements of equipment and parts.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established quality control procedures and standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train maintenance staff, including assigning tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in a safe and controlled environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read blueprints and schematics, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with hand and power tools.
  • Certifications: Certification in a relevant field, such as CPMM or CMRP, preferred.
