Role Responsibilities
As a Community Health Worker, you will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to empower clients to maintain their independence and remain in their homes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing essential home support services.
- Assisting clients with daily living activities.
- Encouraging and facilitating maximum independence.
As a Long-term Care Attendant (LTCA), you will be a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering care in a long-term care environment. Your key duties will involve:
- Implementing individual care plans under the guidance of nursing staff.
- Addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
Work Schedule
These positions are casual, meaning there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary up to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. Many individuals begin their careers with Interior Health in a casual capacity and often transition to permanent roles, which include employer-paid benefits and accrued time off for illness and vacation.
