About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst Lead to join our team at TECO Energy Inc. As a key member of our Application Development and Support team, you will be responsible for leading complex software development projects and serving as a subject matter expert in multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex software development projects from design to implementation
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple business areas, including those relevant to projects and application support assignments
  • Mentor and direct junior staff, including Associate Systems Analysts, Systems Analysts, Senior Systems Analysts, and Technical Systems Analysts
  • Manage and oversee junior staff in the production of deliverables, including technical design specifications and project plans
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and/or Business Partners to develop software specifications and project plans
  • Participate on project teams under the direction of their manager or project managers, and may function as Technical Lead on projects
  • Responsible for resource management, staff augmentation, and vendor relationships, and ensures there is adequate support for all assigned IS applications for both day-to-day operations and on-call support
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline
  • 10 years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development
  • Expert knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies
  • Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Develops project plans for small projects, and partners with Project Managers to develop project plans for large projects
