Position Overview

The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our culinary team at Oakville AG Hospitality Inc. This position is essential for ensuring that our food service meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Scheduling: Develop and implement effective work schedules to optimize team performance.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Training: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Resource Estimation: Assess and estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruitment: Participate in the hiring process for food service personnel.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and service offerings meet established quality control standards.
  • Budgeting: Prepare and analyze budget forecasts and cost estimates.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on operational performance.
  • Order Management: Compile food order summaries for the culinary team.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of various culinary styles relevant to the establishment.
  • Tray Assembly Supervision: Oversee the assembly of food trays to ensure accuracy and presentation.
  • Delivery Coordination: Supervise the delivery of food trolleys to maintain service efficiency.
  • Staff Oversight: Manage a team of 3-4 individuals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in food service management.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Full-time position with 35 hours per week.
