This role involves conducting laboratory analyses and associated tasks in the areas of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking, Urology, and Microbiology. You will be responsible for reporting findings to the attending physician and will operate under the guidance of the Chief Medical Technologist.

Updated Compensation :
The revised wage is: $45.81/hour

Our Facility is a 12-bed acute care hospital that provides emergency services, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, and pharmacy services. It includes a labor/delivery/recovery suite and a palliative care room, along with provisions for public health, mental health and addictions, and home and community care services.

Community Overview

The local area has a population of 1, with additional residents from the surrounding regions, totaling approximately 7,000. The community is surrounded by wilderness and some of the largest freshwater lakes in British Columbia, making it a popular destination for sport fishing among both locals and visitors.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science program in Medical Technology.
  • Current registration as a member of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science.
Skills and Competencies:

  • Precision in executing tasks; must possess keen observational skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to adhere to both written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in operating relevant laboratory equipment.
