Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As a Dietitian II, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Primary Care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients with various health conditions, including diabetes, kidney disease, and chronic diseases.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition and dietetics to inform your practice.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
  • Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
