Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work and related duties in the fields of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urology, and Microbiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Technologist to ensure high-quality laboratory services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide timely and accurate test results.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure laboratory services meet regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science course in Medical Technology.
  • Current registration as a member of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
