Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for growth.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for banquets and events.
  • Supervise staff and other officials, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
