Position Overview:
As a Lead Geotechnical Specialist at ECOH Management Inc., you will play a pivotal role within our Environmental division. Your expertise will be essential in managing and executing a diverse range of deliverables, ensuring excellence in all aspects of geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary Project Manager and geotechnical authority.
- Oversee geotechnical projects, proposals, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Develop comprehensive project scopes, timelines, and financial plans.
- Supervise a team of Technologists and Scientists, ensuring adherence to Corporate Standards.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to junior personnel, fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to optimize project resources and performance standards.
- Serve as a liaison between junior staff and management to identify and address training needs.
- Deliver constructive feedback and support the recruitment and training of new team members.
- Lead and coordinate geotechnical investigations and design initiatives.
- Prepare technical scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for various projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams across different locations.
- Handle administrative tasks related to project documentation, expense management, and invoicing.
- Engage in field activities and provide training for junior staff as needed.
- Contribute to project and financial management, including financial assessments.
- Uphold quality control, assurance, and compliance with policies.
- Present findings and publish technical articles.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 15 years of experience in a relevant field as a Geotechnical Engineer or Geoscientist.
- Proven experience managing diverse multi-disciplinary projects for various clients.
- In-depth knowledge of Municipal, Provincial, and Federal regulations.
- Strong time and resource management skills, with the ability to guide field staff effectively.
- Demonstrated support for corporate initiatives and strategic plans.
- Willingness to share technical knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project managers, senior leadership, clients, and contractors.
- Sound judgment in business and project-related decisions.
- Strong financial management skills for overseeing project budgets and resources.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical data clearly.
- A valid driver's license and appropriate insurance must be maintained.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant technical software.
