Job Title: Director of Information Technology and Facilities

Join the Mental Health Commission of Canada as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology and Facilities to lead our IT department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the Commission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an IT roadmap and execution plan to support the Commission's long-term goals and mitigate enterprise-wide strategic and operational risk.
  • Evaluate and address cyber and infrastructure risk, and oversee all technology operations, including network security.
  • Develop and/or update documentation, including IT-related policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the IT department, including supervising employees, controlling budget, and reporting on expenditures.
  • Participate in the implementation of our hybrid work plan, with a focus on changes and upgrades to IM/IT and facilities or infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12 years' IT experience, with demonstrated progressive experience in leadership, strategic planning, change management, and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Director or similar role, with experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the organization.
  • Experience managing a hybrid team and controlling information technology budget.
