About the Role

Raven Concrete Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and machinery, including concrete vibrators, grinding machines, drills, and hand tools.
  • Task Completion: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as performing routine maintenance work and removing rubble and debris.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, construction site.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with concrete vibrators, grinding machines, drills, and hand tools.
  • Construction Specialization: Experience in residential construction and poured concrete.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, and hardworking individual.
