Job Summary

Suncor is seeking a skilled Process Operator to join our dynamic team at the Burrard Products Terminal. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment by adhering to established terminal practices, procedures, and operating guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic crew to cover qualified posts within an operating unit.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain process equipment.
  • Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations and report any issues beyond your scope to your leader.
  • Adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and ensure product quality.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Two years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification through the Technical Safety BC (TSBC).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
