Process Operator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Operator to join our dynamic team at Suncor's Burrard Products Terminal. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our terminal, while maintaining a strong focus on environmental sustainability and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment by adhering to established terminal practices, procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic crew to cover qualified posts within an operating unit.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain process equipment.
- Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations and report any issues beyond your scope to your leader.
- Adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and ensure product quality.
- Maintain high-level housekeeping to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Two years of related experience.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification through the Technical Safety BC (TSBC).
- Proven mechanical aptitude to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and strong communication skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
