About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Inspection Technician to join our team at SEN INSPECTION SERVICES LTD. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough visual inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections to detect defects and ensure quality.
  • Establish and maintain NDI techniques and calibration standards.
  • Calibrate, test, and interpret ultrasonic equipment.
  • Develop and implement techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Instruct and supervise trainees in visual inspection techniques.
  • Maintain accurate test result reports and records.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work site environment: Outdoors.
  • Work setting: Various locations.
  • Tasks:
    • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects.
    • Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards.
    • Calibrate, test, and interpret ultrasonic equipment.
    • Develop techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
    • Instruct and supervise trainees.
    • Maintain test result reports.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: CWB Visual Inspector Certification Level 2.
  • Testing equipment and methods:
    • Liquid penetrant.
    • Magnetic particle.
    • Visual inspection.
    • Nondestructive testing.
  • Area of work experience:
    • Construction.
    • Oil or gas pipelines.
  • Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities:
    • Attention to detail.
    • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Own tools/equipment:
    • Steel-toed safety boots.
    • Cellular phone.
  • Personal suitability:

  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
