About the Role:The Frontend Platform team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc is dedicated to developing and maintaining a robust platform that underpins all frontend initiatives. This team is responsible for critical areas such as architecture, design patterns, frameworks, libraries, UI components, development environments, tools, and deployment processes. They ensure that performance, security, and best practices are consistently upheld. By structuring the frontend landscape into product-focused and engineering-focused dimensions, the Frontend Platform team fosters clear ownership, efficient collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality, inclusive frontend solutions that cater to diverse business needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Significantly influence our frontend culture.
- Collaborate with product managers to define and clarify product requirements.
- Develop user interactions for a rule engine that supports real-time assistance for customer service agents.
- Take technical ownership of one or more products, empowered to make substantial technical decisions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on business logic, architecture, and core technologies in our stack (React, TypeScript).
- Work closely with backend engineers to design, implement, and deliver features, contributing to backend systems as necessary.
- Integrate various tools for CI/CD, test automation, monitoring, logging, and documentation.
- Exemplify best practices in coding and uphold them during code reviews.
- Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide insights on technical trade-offs.
- Advocate for the culture (engineering or otherwise) that aligns with our company values.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a proven history of building scalable and responsive web applications.
- Expertise in defining and utilizing robust APIs, with a strong grasp of protocols such as gRPC, Websockets, and REST.
- In-depth knowledge of the modern frontend ecosystem, with hands-on experience in contemporary CSS frameworks.
- Proficiency in TypeScript is essential for crafting intuitive user interfaces.
- Familiarity with our technology stack, including Golang, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Temporal, is advantageous.
- Experience with virtual agent and AI agent technologies is preferred, emphasizing a background in developing interfaces that engage with complex AI systems.
- Skilled in designing responsive and efficient user interfaces, with a strong understanding of how backend performance influences frontend experience.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, test automation, and implementing monitoring and logging solutions to ensure high-quality releases.
- Commitment to writing comprehensive unit tests and maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
