About the Role:The Frontend Platform team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc is dedicated to developing and sustaining a robust platform that underpins all frontend initiatives. This team manages essential aspects such as architecture, design methodologies, frameworks, libraries, UI components, development environments, tools, and deployment strategies. They also prioritize performance, security, and adherence to best practices. By structuring the frontend ecosystem into product-focused and engineering-focused segments, the Frontend Platform team fosters clear ownership, effective collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality, inclusive frontend solutions that cater to diverse business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Significantly influence our frontend culture.
- Collaborate with product managers to define and articulate product specifications.
- Develop user interactions for a rule engine that facilitates real-time support for Contact Center Agents.
- Hold technical ownership of one or more products, with the autonomy to make impactful technical choices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on business logic, architecture, and core technologies in our stack (React, TypeScript).
- Work closely with Backend engineers to design, implement, and deliver features while contributing to backend systems as necessary.
- Integrate various tools for CI/CD, test automation, monitoring, logging, and documentation.
- Exemplify best practices in coding and uphold these standards during code reviews.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide insights on technical trade-offs.
- Advocate for the culture (engineering or otherwise) that aligns with our company values.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a proven history of creating scalable and responsive web applications.
- Expertise in defining and utilizing robust APIs, with a solid understanding of protocols such as gRPC, Websockets, and REST.
- In-depth knowledge of the modern frontend ecosystem, with hands-on experience in contemporary CSS frameworks.
- Proficiency in TypeScript is essential for crafting intuitive user interfaces.
- Familiarity with our technology stack, including Golang, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Temporal, is advantageous.
- Experience with virtual agent and AI agent technologies is preferred, emphasizing a background in developing interfaces that engage with complex AI systems.
- Skilled in designing responsive and efficient user interfaces, with a keen awareness of how backend performance influences frontend experience.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools, test automation, and implementing monitoring and logging solutions to ensure high-quality releases.
- Commitment to writing comprehensive unit tests and maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
