Insurance Customer Support Specialist

Position Overview:
A successful insurance agent is in search of a qualified individual to fill the role of Insurance Customer Support Specialist. We are looking for a dynamic professional who is passionate about enhancing our business through meaningful interactions and exceptional customer service. If you are a proactive self-starter who excels in a dynamic setting, this position offers a fulfilling career with significant earning and advancement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage appointment scheduling, assess customer requirements, process billing transactions, facilitate bank deposits, handle claims, and follow up on daily tasks while promoting suitable products and services during client interactions.
- Deliver prompt, precise, and courteous customer service. This includes addressing inquiries related to insurance options, eligibility, coverage details, policy modifications, claims submissions, and billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with the agent to identify gaps in insurance coverage during client discussions.
Qualifications:
- Property & Casualty license (OTL license preferred/must be obtained prior to starting employment)
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Outstanding communication abilities - written, verbal, and listening
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Aptitude for multitasking
- Capability to present information to prospective clients
Work Environment:
This position operates in an office setting.
Note: This role is with an independent contractor agent who is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. Employees of this agent are not employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for all employment decisions regarding their staff.
