Role Summary
As an Administrative Assistant II within the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication between medical professionals and imaging staff. Your responsibilities will include coordinating appointments, managing inquiries, and facilitating seamless operations within a high-volume environment.
- Facilitating communication between referring physicians and medical imaging personnel.
- Conveying critical findings and discrepancies to medical professionals.
- Assisting in the scheduling and organization of imaging bookings.
- Managing reception duties and responding to physician inquiries.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism in a busy call center environment.
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Graduation from a recognized medical secretarial program at the diploma level.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and imaging procedures.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
