Position Overview

Role Summary
As an Administrative Assistant II within the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication between medical professionals and imaging staff. Your responsibilities will include coordinating appointments, managing inquiries, and facilitating seamless operations within a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating communication between referring physicians and medical imaging personnel.
  • Conveying critical findings and discrepancies to medical professionals.
  • Assisting in the scheduling and organization of imaging bookings.
  • Managing reception duties and responding to physician inquiries.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism in a busy call center environment.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a recognized medical secretarial program at the diploma level.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and imaging procedures.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
