Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Support Specialist to join our team at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our users, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to perform their jobs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to IESO users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, and escalating complex problems to senior technicians as needed.
  • Desktop Support: Manage the lifecycle of desktop end-user hardware and software, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Service Desk: Handle service requests and incidents, providing timely and effective solutions to users.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of installed hardware and software, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines for end-user computing environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues, and to implement new technologies and processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional courses in Information Technology Support Services (Co-op program) or related field.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in enterprise IT environments, providing service desk support, imaging new computers, and deploying end-user hardware.
  • Skills: Excellent understanding of Active Directory, user management, and computer architecture; ability to troubleshoot and search for solutions using available tools and resources.
