Seasonal Maintenance Associate

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Warehouse Supervisor in managing inventory and overseeing warehouse activities.

  • Maintain organization and order within storage areas.
  • Implement enhancements in warehouse layout, sorting, and storage as instructed.

DISPLAY MANAGEMENT:

  • Collaborate with Display Supervisors on display tasks: secure large items in elevated positions, assist with the physical aspects of display assembly, etc.
  • Help restock displays to optimize product turnover during promotional events.
  • Comfortable using ladders and responsible for retrieving products for customers upon request from area supervisors.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE:

  • Work under the direction of the Lead to ensure that the premises and workspaces are well-maintained, clean, and safe.
  • Assist in preparations for seasonal changes and support vendors with their setups as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while managing a department during peak seasonal sales.
  • Contribute positively to a small team dedicated to impactful work.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly self-driven, diligent, and efficient in task execution.
  • Experience with basic machinery and tools used in maintenance and construction, such as saws, drills, lawn equipment, and vehicles with trailers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Experience in retail, display setup, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Adaptability to varying workloads and work pace.
  • Relevant experience related to the outlined duties and responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be capable of fulfilling the physical demands associated with this role, including but not limited to:

  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, snow).
  • Handling heavy and awkward equipment, materials, and products.
  • Frequent climbing and lifting activities.
  • Ability to safely lift items weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods.

SCHEDULE:

The work schedule is highly seasonal and influenced by shipment timings.

  • Expect part-time hours during spring to early summer, transitioning to full-time from mid-summer to late November.
  • During peak periods (September-November), working six days a week may be necessary.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Transportation is required as public transit is not available to the location.

JOB TYPE: Contract

HOURLY WAGE: Compensation based on experience.

We pride ourselves on our close-knit team, which expands during peak seasons to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

EXPECTED HOURS: 15 – 37 hours per week.

COMPANY EVENTS: On-site parking available.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: French is not mandatory.

SCHEDULE: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY: Overtime pay available.

EDUCATION: Secondary School preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 1 year in warehouse settings preferred.
