Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Okanagan Good Food Inc. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Service Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Staff Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and establish work schedules.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of activity.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, with regular breaks.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in a busy kitchen environment.

  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.
