Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Okanagan Good Food Inc. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee the daily operations of our food service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our food and service meet the highest quality standards, while maintaining a fast-paced and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless operations
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and accurate service
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team, with initiative and dependability
