Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Okanagan Good Food Inc. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee the daily operations of our food service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition and Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that our food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure that our team is adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, dependability.
