Your Impact: Director, Capital Project Delivery

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Capital Project Delivery. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure within Interior Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all capital project delivery initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strategies, and key performance indicators.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and commissioning, adhering to strict budgetary constraints and timelines.
  • Develop and implement robust project management methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective execution of projects.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including clinical staff, engineering teams, and finance departments, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to keep senior management informed of project status and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education, experience, and leadership skills. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in capital project delivery within the healthcare sector is essential.

Proven expertise in project management methodologies, risk assessment, and contract administration is highly desirable. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
