The salary range for this role is $88,990 to $127,923, with compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Position ResponsibilitiesThe Capital Projects Manager is responsible for leading and directing project studies, assessing options that demonstrate the impact on capital and operational costs for designated projects. This role involves providing strong leadership to project teams and ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders. The manager will monitor resources and deliver projects within the defined scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards, all while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitates all phases of multiple capital planning projects to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with building standards and technical requirements.
- Acts as a liaison between consultants and internal clients during planning to ensure alignment with client needs and adherence to industry best practices.
- Identifies the necessity for external consultants and assists in the preparation of procurement documents such as EOIs, ITQs, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Conducts or coordinates site inspections as needed.
- Develops functional programs, conceptual plans, schematic designs, and comprehensive business plans for projects.
- Initiates and leads project kick-off meetings and participates in regular project meetings.
- Reviews all design documents to ensure compliance with building codes and incorporates client feedback for functionality.
- Analyzes technical data to assess the potential impact of projects on services and facilities.
- Prepares detailed cost estimates for projects.
- Oversees reporting and quality assurance for capital planning projects.
- Evaluates proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitors design and specifications to ensure adherence to budget and scope throughout project milestones.
- Tracks consultant performance for compliance with standards, budget, and timelines.
- Develops implementation plans, identifying key partners and critical timelines for effective project delivery.
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting on project progress.
- Identifies safety concerns and integrates risk management strategies.
- Reviews and approves change management documentation and project invoices.
- Maintains comprehensive records of project plans and schedules, highlighting key milestones.
- Ensures a safe work environment in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Performs additional related duties as required.
