Interior Health Authority is on the lookout for a proficient Capital Projects Coordinator with expertise in Major Capital Planning and Development to become a vital part of their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role provides flexibility in work location within British Columbia, ideally situated within the Interior Health region.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $88,990 to $127,923.

Position Overview:

The Capital Projects Coordinator will manage the design, construction, and commissioning phases for significant capital, enhancement, and operational initiatives at designated sites within the Interior Health Authority Region.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design phases of projects to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to building regulations
  • Serve as a point of contact between consultants and stakeholders
  • Engage in project scheduling and financial planning
  • Examine drawings and specifications for compliance with standards
  • Prepare financial estimates and project documentation
  • Supervise consultant and contractor performance
  • Authorize project invoices and claims
  • Oversee all phases of project execution
  • Coordinate project commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards

In alignment with Interior Health's Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a secure work environment by identifying and mitigating hazards, ensuring employee training, and effectively responding to incidents.
