Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $88,990 to $127,923, determined by the applicant's qualifications, experience, and an internal equity assessment.

Role Overview:

The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for guiding and directing project studies while assessing options that reflect the impact on capital and operational expenditures for designated projects. This role entails providing effective leadership to the project team and ensuring collaboration with essential stakeholders. The manager will monitor resources allocated for capital and operational programs, ensuring that projects are executed within the defined scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards, all while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates all phases of multiple capital planning projects, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with building standards and technical requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison between consultants and clients to ensure alignment with project specifications and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Identifies the necessity for external consultants and aids in the creation of procurement documents such as EOIs, ITQs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Conducts or organizes site inspections as needed.
  • Develops functional programs, conceptual plans, schematic designs, and comprehensive business plans for projects.
  • Initiates and leads project kick-off meetings and participates in regular project updates.
  • Reviews all technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and client functionality requirements.
  • Analyzes project-related information to assess potential impacts on services and facilities.
  • Prepares detailed cost estimates for projects.
  • Oversees the reporting and quality assurance processes for assigned capital planning projects.
  • Evaluates proposals to ensure they meet project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Assesses design and specifications for budget adherence at various project stages.
  • Monitors consultant performance to ensure compliance with standards, contract terms, and timelines.
  • Creates a project implementation plan that identifies key partners and critical timelines for effective project delivery.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identifies safety concerns and integrates them into the risk management framework.
  • Reviews and approves change management documentation and project invoices.
  • Maintains comprehensive records of project plans and schedules, highlighting key milestones.
  • In accordance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, ensures a safe working environment by identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.
