Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Manager, Accounts Payable at Acadia University. As a key member of the Financial Services team, you will be responsible for the administration and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable unit.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of financial employees tasked with Accounts Payable activities, ensuring all policies and documentation are properly administered and maintained.
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for Accounts Payable, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Fund Accounting standards.
- Collaborate with other Financial Services team members, including Procurement and Treasury, to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Acadia employees, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary studies with experience in Accounts Payable.
- Thorough knowledge of accounts payable processes and GAAP and Fund Accounting standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing a team of employees, including performance and change management.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in Ellucian's Colleague Finance and Informer applications an asset.
