Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Manager, Accounts Payable at Acadia University. As a key member of the Financial Services team, you will be responsible for the administration and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of financial employees tasked with Accounts Payable activities, ensuring all policies and documentation are properly administered and maintained.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for Accounts Payable, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Fund Accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other Financial Services team members, including Procurement and Treasury, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Acadia employees, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary studies in a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounts payable processes and GAAP and Fund Accounting standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing a team of employees.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, with preference for experience with Ellucian's Colleague Finance and Informer applications.
