Key Responsibilities:
* Open new claims on the phone with clients and ensure immediate handling of the situation.
* Gather versions of events from the insured and/or witnesses by interviewing them about the events.
* Determine if the claim is covered or not by analyzing the coverage required to cover the claim.
* Analyze the information obtained, making decisions that will be used to establish liability and reviewing the assessment of damages.
* Settle the claim in a fair and reasonable manner, validating damages and completing payments.
Requirements:
* Willingness to enroll and work towards CIP designation in order to obtain adjuster licenses.
* Relevant experience in a similar role.
* Strong time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work in a bilingual environment (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
