About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Claims Representative I to join our Claims Management Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling claims on the phone, gathering information from clients and witnesses, and making decisions to establish liability and settle claims fairly and reasonably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open new claims on the phone and ensure immediate handling of the situation.
  • Gather versions of events from the insured and/or witnesses by interviewing them about the events.
  • Determine if the claim is covered or not by analyzing the coverage required to cover the claim.
  • Analyze the information obtained, make decisions that will be used to establish liability and review the assessment of damages.
  • Settle the claim in a fair and reasonable manner, validate damages and complete payments.
Requirements
  • Bilingual - French and English is required.
  • University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
  • Experience that is relevant to the position.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
