Position Overview

The role of a Handyperson involves a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and appearance of facilities.

Education Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The job will be performed in various locations and under all weather conditions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing of hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to effectively remove dirt, debris, and refuse.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Conduct cleaning of windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Engage contractors for maintenance and repair services.
  • Show properties to potential tenants.
  • Assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Care for plants, lawns, and gardens as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Physical Demands

This position requires:

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina and strength.
  • Capability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
Experience Requirements

Applicants should have 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
