The role of a Handyperson involves a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and appearance of the facilities managed by 1338314 B.C. LTD.. This position requires a proactive individual capable of performing diverse duties across multiple sites.
Qualifications- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
The job will be conducted in various settings, including construction sites, and will require working in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and hallways.
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to eliminate debris and refuse.
- Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and other containers.
- Ensure cleanliness of windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; liaise with tradespersons for major repairs.
- Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Show available apartments and offices to potential tenants.
- Assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct routine maintenance jobs, including painting and drywall repair.
- Cater to plants, lawns, and gardens as needed.
- Disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
This position is physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
