About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our team at STITT + ZOSKY. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk for our firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel and other senior lawyers to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Provide guidance to lawyers and other stakeholders on conflicts of interest, client terms of engagement, cyber security, information governance, and professional conduct.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures on risk management, including training programs and compliance protocols.
  • Research and analyze emerging risks related to new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
  • Work closely with the Risk Management Committee to identify and mitigate potential risks to the firm.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a large law firm environment.
  • Excellent judgment and superior legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience.
  • Strong work ethic, aptitude for technology, and leadership, relationship, collaboration, and consultation skills.
  • Litigation experience and fluency in French are considered assets.
