Assistant General Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our team at Stitt + Zosky. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk for our firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the General Counsel and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures on risk management
- Provide guidance to lawyers on conflicts of interest, client terms of engagement, and other matters of ethics and professional responsibility
- Research and analyze new technologies, including AI, to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our lawyers
- Minimum 5 years of practice experience in a large law firm environment
- Excellent judgment and superior legal research and writing capabilities
- Strong client service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences
- Strong work ethic, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Litigation experience and fluency in French are considered assets
