Position Overview

Under the supervision of the principal investigator, the selected candidate will engage in laboratory activities and provide essential support for research initiatives aimed at assisting faculty and graduate students.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of grant proposals and research projects.
  • Conduct data analysis, focusing on usability and pilot testing outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication, including liaising with suppliers and updating internal lab records.
  • Assist in the care and management of research animals (specifically mice).
  • Ensure laboratory supplies are adequately stocked and maintained.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining a clean working environment.

Important Note

The successful candidate will be required to fulfill their duties on-site.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in a relevant molecular or cellular science, ideally in biophysics or neurobiology.
  • Proven experience and/or familiarity with molecular, cellular, or biochemical research techniques, including cloning, western blotting, northern blotting, and RT-PCR.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a diverse team.
