About the Opportunity

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to join our team as Medical Laboratory Technologists. As a key member of our Pathology & Laboratory Medicine team, you will play a critical role in conducting diagnostic analytical laboratory tests and procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our laboratory services. Your expertise and knowledge will be essential in ensuring that our laboratory tests and procedures are performed with the highest level of accuracy and precision.

About You

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduate from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Eligible or licensed with NSCMLT and eligible or registered with CSMLS
  • Strong client focus and ability to build solid healthcare client/practitioner relationships
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated accountability, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Self-directed with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated planning, organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-learning and continuous professional development
  • Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
  • Good attendance and work record in current and past employment
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Successful Applicants are required to provide a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to Human Resources before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment
Hours
  • Permanent full-time positions; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Travel to various sites may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$37.54 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
