Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team at All Directions Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department, ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Departmental Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of our transportation department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Operations Planning: Plan and organize daily operations, ensuring that our services are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Staff Recruitment and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of transportation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of our transportation department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible rates and services, and manage contracts to ensure that our needs are met.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of our inventory, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Security and Safety: Ensure that our transportation operations are conducted in a safe and secure manner, complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
