Executive Director, Transportation Operations

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Transportation Operations to join our team at All Directions Transport. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation department.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure optimal transportation operations.
- Financial Management: Manage the transportation budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as transportation, logistics, or business administration.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in transportation operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.
- Security and Safety: Bondable and willing to undergo a criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal awareness, and team player.
