Security Management Supervisor

The Security Supervisor will oversee uniformed security personnel at various high-profile corporate locations. This role involves providing guidance and support to contract guards, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and maintaining a secure environment across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that security personnel possess the necessary qualifications and skills for their assigned duties.
- Verify that all guards are licensed, properly trained, and in appropriate uniform.
- Coordinate and assess site-specific training for contract security staff.
- Conduct random evaluations of guard performance to uphold organizational standards.
- Respond to significant incidents, ensuring accurate documentation of observations and actions taken.
- Review incident reports for clarity and accuracy.
- Implement disciplinary measures when required.
- Prepare daily reports for Security Services Management and relevant personnel.
- Utilize electronic guard tour software for patrol documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience as a Security Guard in a corporate or municipal setting is preferred.
- A minimum of one year in a supervisory role is advantageous.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Possession of a valid Security License for Ontario is required.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is mandatory.
- A valid G Class License with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Physical requirements include extensive walking and standing, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with two-way radios and computer applications is expected.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required; bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development is essential.
- Flexibility in shift availability is required, as security operations run 24/7.
- Previous experience in loss prevention or security is preferred.
- Completion of all required site training within 30 days of hire is necessary.
- Successful completion of CPO certification within the first six months is expected, with training costs covered by the company.
