Job Summary:

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled Security Supervisor to oversee the security operations at various high-profile corporate locations in Brampton. The successful candidate will provide uniformed security supervision for contract guards, support the Team Lead and Security Services management, and conduct proactive patrols and respond to incidents at various city facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Security Operations: Ensure contract guards meet the mandatory skill set required for their assigned location, ensure they are licensed, trained, and in proper uniform, and arrange and review site-specific training.
  • Incident Response and Reporting: Respond to major incidents, ensure guards respond and document their observations, findings, and actions appropriately, and review incident reports for clarity and accuracy.
  • Disciplinary Actions and Performance Management: Initiate disciplinary actions when necessary and complete daily briefs to Security Services Management and other personnel.
  • Patrols and Site Visits: Conduct patrols with the use of electronic guard tour software and perform other related duties assigned by the city.

Requirements:

  • Security Experience: Minimum two years of security guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum three years of supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Education and Certifications: Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, and a valid Security License for the Province of Ontario, current First Aid/CPR certification, and a valid G Class License with a clean abstract are required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and the ability to think quickly on your feet and defuse difficult situations are essential.
  • Physical Demands: Excessive walking, standing, exposure to all weather conditions, and extreme temperatures are required.
  • Technology and Software: Utilize two-way radio and computer applications, and have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development and on-site leveling system requirements, and complete all required site training within 30 days of hire date.
