Site Overview:
Brampton Civic Hospital is a comprehensive community healthcare facility offering a range of specialized services, including a critical care response team, cardiac catheterization suite, and a Regional Kidney Wellness Centre. Established in 2007, it boasts one of the largest labor and delivery programs in the province and is home to one of the busiest emergency departments in Canada.

Role Summary:
The Security Team Lead is tasked with supervising the daily operations and performance of the Security Guards assigned to their shift. The Team Lead is expected to represent both Paladin Security Group and the facility they serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and continuous coaching and training.
  • Ensure all site personnel comply with Paladin Security and hospital security protocols.
  • Verify that all Security Guards have completed the required training.
  • Inspire staff and recommend commendations to their Supervisor.
  • Ensure proper documentation is relayed to the Supervisor/Client Service Manager.
  • Assist in monitoring and deploying security personnel.
  • Manage various dispatch duties, including incident reporting.
  • Document and investigate security incidents and grievances.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues with the Supervisor/Client Service Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospital security is required.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or team lead experience is essential.
  • Preferred post-secondary education in a Law Enforcement or Security program.
  • Familiarity with the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, tact, and diplomacy.
