Good Shepherd is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Recreation Worker - HOMES.

Your Impact

Encourage and support participation in various programs.Act as a role model, mentor, and coach to tenants while participating in programs.Collaborate with the recreation supervisor, teams, and tenants in the development and execution of programs.Lead on-site recreation initiatives, including the Good Food Box program, outings, and volunteer activities.Work alongside the recreation supervisor to assess participant needs.Engage and communicate with Good Shepherd staff, community mental health organizations, and local partners.

Qualifications

Education and experience in recreation.Experience in the mental health sector.Understanding and belief in the principles of Recovery.Familiarity with recreational opportunities in the local area.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Proven skills in motivating and encouraging positive change.Creative, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks.Compassionate and respectful approach.Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
