Position Overview

The role of the Lead Cashier at G&G'S TRAVEL PLAZA (PETRO CANADA) involves overseeing the cash handling operations and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delegate tasks to sales associates effectively.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new staff members.
  • Authorize payments made via cheque.
  • Manage inventory orders and merchandise supply.
  • Approve returns of merchandise as necessary.
  • Develop and implement work schedules for staff.
  • Engage in direct sales activities.
  • Compile and analyze reports related to sales performance, inventory management, and staffing issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and supply chain challenges.
  • Maintain organized inventory systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced setting requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Job involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with extended periods of standing.
