About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Store Supervisor to join our team at 2656578 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our retail management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and motivate a team of 11-15 employees, including cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks, to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, stocking, and display of merchandise, as well as maintain accurate inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Foster a positive shopping environment by providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and promoting sales through effective merchandising and visual displays.
  • Store Operations: Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
  • Skills: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, initiative, and judgement.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines and heavy workload.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.
