Job Title: Experienced Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced truck driver to join our team at Mike Hanes Holdings Ltd. as a key member of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and partners, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Logistics and Operations: Load and unload goods efficiently, utilizing our fleet of trucks to transport materials safely and effectively.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Record cargo information and maintain accurate vehicle logs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Certifications:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brakes Endorsement, ensuring safe operation of our vehicles.
  • Valid Licenses: Hold valid Class 1/1F/A, Class 3/3F/DF, Class 5/5F/G Licenses, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Certifications: Possess First Aid and WHMIS Certificates, ensuring a safe working environment.
Documentation Knowledge:
  • Bill of Lading: Familiar with Bill of Lading procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain accurate driver logbooks, recording hours of service and other relevant information.
  • Inspection Reports: Conduct regular vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Trucking Equipment:
  • Truck Experience: Possess experience with straight trucks and heavy loads, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Transportation Experience:
  • Route Experience: Possess experience with local, provincial/territorial, and short-haul routes, ensuring efficient delivery of goods.
Safety and Security Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and safe operation of vehicles.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Weight Handling:
  • Lifting Ability: Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs), ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Personal Qualities:
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Reliability: Be a reliable team player, ensuring safe and efficient operation of vehicles.
  • Employment Type: This is a permanent position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Hours: The typical workweek is 45-50 hours.
