Job Summary

N.S. CONSTRUCTION CARRIERS LIMITED is seeking a skilled Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods across various routes, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and address any issues promptly.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing solutions to resolve issues.
  • Logistics: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various heavy equipment, including dump trucks and gravel trucks, as required.
  • Communication: Utilize CB radios and GPS navigation equipment to communicate with dispatch and navigate routes efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, CPR Certificate, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, and teamwork.
