Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Logistics: Manage cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to optimize routes and reduce costs.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and inspecting vehicles regularly.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, CPR Certificate, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tractor-trailer truck driving.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: On-the-road job with varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of tools and equipment.
